Over the past decades, advancement in the field of antimicrobial agents had reduced dramatically illness and death due to infectious diseases. However, almost all the prominent infection causing bacterial strains have developed resistance to antibiotics. The present invention relates to novel antimicrobial agents (polymers) designed for exertion of antimicrobial activity while being stable, non-toxic and avoiding development of resistant strains.
