Technology Opportunities

The presented technology is a novel method of doubling the data rate by changing the Rx ONU photonic and electronic and signal processing structure. The method doubles the data rate by adding just 50% to the complexity of just a part of the receiver (or ONU). Applications of the technology include optical transmissions (one way or two way full duplex for data-centers), optical distribution point to or from multipoint and passive optical networks (fiber to the home).
